1. About Booch & Barbie

Booch & Barbie is a Singapore-based specialty store offering curated gluten-aware breakfast foods, cereals, snacks and wellness products sourced from premium Indian brands. Our mission is to make clean, gut-friendly eating simple, accessible and enjoyable for families.

Are you a fully gluten-free store?

We are here to make gluten free the default, and this requires time to build and establish. We are starting off as a gluten-aware store with strict review process: 
All products are reviewed for:

• ingredient safety

• supplier manufacturing notes

• gluten risk flags

• brand certifications (where available)

Some products come from shared facilities, and while ingredients do not contain gluten, trace amounts may still be possible. We communicate this transparently so customers can make informed choices.

We are collaborating with our supplier brands to lab test the products for gluten presence and where possible we indicate this in the product description.

Do you manufacture the products yourselves?

No — we curate products from verified brands such as The Cinnamon Kitchen, Nourish You, Yummy Valley, Yoga Bar and Nairns (and expanding). We screen each product before adding it to our catalogue.

2. Product Safety, Ingredients & Certifications

Are all your products gluten-free?

Many products use naturally gluten-free ingredients like millet, nuts, oats, seeds and legumes.
Some brands are formally gluten-free certified, some are lab tested by manufacturer on request, and others are undergoing certification.
If a product comes from a shared facility, we list this clearly so customers with high sensitivity can decide appropriately.

Are your oats gluten-free?

Our high-protein oats and mueslis from Yoga Bar are free from gluten ingredients. Some products are produced in shared facilities and therefore may not be suitable for individuals with severe celiac disease.

Do you offer vegan products?

Yes — many items like seed mixes, nut butters, mueslis, and plant-based milks are vegan-friendly. Vegan filters will be available on the website.

Where do your products come from?

We source directly from trusted Indian brands committed to clean-label recipes, natural ingredients, and minimal processing. All products are imported by Booch & Barbie Pte Ltd and screened before listing.

3. Freshness, Shelf Life & Storage

What is the shelf life of your products?

Most mueslis and oats have 8–12 months shelf life.
Cookies and crackers from The Cinnamon Kitchen have shorter 4–5-month shelf life because they contain no preservatives and use natural premium ingredients.
We rotate inventory frequently to ensure freshness.

How do you store products?

Products are stored in air-conditioned fulfilment warehouses using uParcel’s controlled storage environment to maintain freshness and quality.

How do you ensure products are fresh?

We import in smaller, frequent batches to maintain quick turnover, ensuring customers receive the freshest possible stock.

4. Shipping, Delivery & Packaging

Where do you deliver?

We deliver islandwide within Singapore.

What are your delivery charges?

• Orders above $50 → Free delivery

• Orders below $50 → A flat rate (disclosed at checkout) based on fulfilment partner charges.

How fast is delivery?

We typically deliver within 2-3 working days after your order is placed.

How are orders packed?

Orders are packed by our fulfilment partner uParcel using:

• protective polymailers

• bubble wrap where needed

• cartons for fragile or multi-item orders

We keep packaging minimal yet safe.

5. Returns, Exchanges & Order Issues

What is your return policy?

For safety reasons, we do not accept returns for opened food items.
Unopened items in original condition may be eligible for return if:

• the product arrived damaged

• the wrong item was delivered

• the product is expired upon arrival

Change-of-mind returns are not accepted due to food safety regulations.

What should I do if I received the wrong item?

Please contact us at support@boochandbarbie.com within 48 hours and we will arrange a replacement or refund.

What if my product arrives damaged?

Take clear photos of the packaging and item and contact us immediately — we will resolve it.

Are your prices inclusive of GST?

Yes — all prices displayed are GST-inclusive.

Why are some products more expensive than supermarket brands?

Our curated brands use:

• premium whole and non-GMO ingredients

• no preservatives  

• small-batch production

• cleaner formulations

• specialized gluten-aware processes - These naturally carry higher production and import costs.

Yet we strive our best to offer competitive prices to traditional supermarket brands. Our objective is to provide gluten free products at accessible prices to everyone.
